Enough! Club

We had no school/meeting this week due to MLK Day, but here is an update anyway.

Congratulations to all of you who participated in our Vow of Silence Day!  We’ll share stories on Monday.  (And Neerja will share her story on Wednesday in her brother’s class!)  Please begin to collect the money from your sponsors and turn it in as soon as you are able.

At our meeting, we will meet with the video club and Mr. Limon as they have agreed to make a video to help raise awareness for our campaigns.  Please think about what information you’d like to share with them and the Tappan community.

Also, Ms. Graham is wondering if we’d like to participate in Sock Wars.  Please see the attached flier.

Finally, if we would like to participate in the Big Dreamers Award (in the past we’ve been awarded this $5000 grant to support additional projects in the countries we’ve been trying to help), we need to apply next week.  The deadline is January 31.  Are there any students who would be interested in taking this on?  It could probably be done in one lunch/advisory.  Please let me know.

We spent the entire meeting creating of Vow of Silence shirts and writing announcements.

Vow of Silence Day is Wednesday, January 18.  Please get as many sponsors as possible, spread the word about the need for better health care in Kenya, and wear your white shirt on Wednesday.
